It' A Jungle Out There!

And the two little monkeys these sweets were for, are the inspiration for it all!

What a decadent and fun cake! The main cake is a triple chocolate cake with pb&j cream fillings.... Topped with a milk chocolate icing and marshmallow fondant! Yum! I designed the top cake to be a giraffe and the bottom cake to be a zebra. Too cute!

The adorable animals are crafted entirely out of marshmallow fondant too.

And finally... the cupcakes. These were so fun to make!

Vanilla cupcakes topped with either milk chocolate or vanilla cream icing. Decorated to be either a zebra (vanilla cracker for the snout, junior mints for eyes/nose, and twistlers for the ears), a lion (cheerios for the ears, and marshmallows for the eyes), a monkey (marshmallows for the eyes, and junior mints for the ears), and the elephant (vanilla candy for the ears). I hope you enjoy!

Crafty, Cute, Charming, Captivating.............. Cookies!
As usual Jamie and I didn't allow for enough time in the day for our confectionery experiments, but we did crank out some pretty awesome cookies and mini poppers! And with the added help of a friend (thank you Kingslea!), ended up making too many of these adorable and delicious strawberry and chocolate poppers. Luckily we have a whole team of folks more than willing to help us eat them! =)

Come to think of it, I have been thinking about babies a lot lately, so it doesn't come as any surprise that Jamie and I made everything miniature today. I think they're cuter cause they're soo small. Awww.....

We were sad there weren't any "mistakes" we could taste. haha

Having fun with Poppers!

I have to admit, at first I thought squishing my gloved hands in warm cake and icing would be gross, in a texture kind of way. But oh my gosh it was hilarious! And a blast! Here are a few pics of our creative moments. We couldn't have done this without two people, that's for sure. =)

"Pop" on over!

Jamie and I love to experiment with new ideas, and revamping old ones! We had a funfilled day "popping" out these delicious "Cake Poppers"....

But why stop there? I'm thinking.... Cheesecake! We got carried away (of course!) and by the end of the day had dozens of "poppers" and cheesecake bites made up. Oh! Sugar coma coming up.....
